One thing people would never have guessed about him was that he, Rufus Turner, loved Christmas Lights. Sure he had a disdain for people in general, that only grew with age; but he loved the joyous shine and the occasional twinkling of lights on the holidays. Over the years he and his local delivery man had come to an understanding, and that had made it easy for him to indulge in his little Holiday ritual without having to go too far afield himself.
